There isn’t anything that could take away the glow Emily and Danny have when they are around each other, not even a little rain. After the Chicago weather threw us for a loop with rain sweeping in every other hour, these two weren’t about to reschedule their session. Instead, they decided to wait out the rain (champagne in hand, of course) and I was oh so happy they did. Emily and Danny will be married at Bridgeport Art Center this September and I just can’t wait!
Ever since our European honeymoon in November of 2015, Europe has been calling me back. The food, the fashion, the sights (did I say the food?) have had me dreaming since the day we got off that plane. Today, I got to relive our amazing time abroad by sharing our time spent in Italy (including what to do & where to eat) with Knot and Moon readers (check out the full feature here).
Want to see more photos from our two week European honeymoon? See my full post of travel photography here.
NPP does NYC!! S0 excited to share that I’ll be heading to NYC in March to learn from the insanely talented Lara Jade during a 2-day studio photography workshop at COLONY Studios Brooklyn. It has been a long time goal of mine to attend one of her workshops and to say I’m excited to finally make it happen is a total understatement. As you know, I’m getting back into the studio this year to focus on bridal studio sessions and I can’t wait to bring back new insight to my studio work.
NYC FRIENDS: I’m looking for a stylish NYC couple to photograph while I’m there, on either March 24th or 27th. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if interested!
Who says a honeymoon only happens once? Brian and I had so much fun on our european honeymoon in 2015 that we decided we wanted to ‘honeymoon’ every year. To carve out some time to relax and recharge, just the two of us. Last November we traveled to Palm Springs, CA on our second honeymoon and have been planning our return ever since! Palm Springs is known for it’s midcentury-modern architecture, stylish boutique hotels and for being a hollywood hot spot since the 1920s. Unlike our european vacation where we packed our days from morning to night, we spent most of our time enjoying cocktails by the pool at The Avalon and soaking up the sun and mountain view. We checked out the Colony Palms Hotel (renovated in 2007 in collaboration with designer Martyn Lawrence-Bullard) for a poolside happy hour and of course a vacation in Palm Springs wouldn’t be complete without a trip to The Parker (and a photo in front of the iconic entrance). Next up for travel this year: Colorado, NYC, and Naples, FL.
I had the lovely opportunity to work with Jenny & Peter this July on their Public Hotel rehearsal dinner. It was the perfect summer night! Their guests were welcomed to the rooftop terrace where they dined al fresco, toasted to the soon to be newlyweds, and laughed until the city around them sparkled like a glass of champagne. Congrats you two! XO

Justin and Adam were married at the Museum of Contemporary Art a few weeks ago and not only was their day gorgeous, but full of surprises. Their planner/friend Matthew kept their king’s table design a complete surprise from the couple, including their wedding day florals. There was even an Opera performance during dinner that blew everyone away (at that moment I wished I was a videographer!!) What an amazing day to have been a part of! I could not be more happy for these two and honored to have been a part of their wedding day. Lauren & Jordan grew up just three blocks away from each other…and never met. It wasn’t until a wedding years later, where they were introduced and everything changed. “In some ways, it felt like we knew each other from the start” Lauren said. After dating for two years, Jordan proposed on Lauren’s birthday in the kitchen of their first home together <3 I have been anxiously awaiting their Women’s Athletic Club wedding (their restaurant engagement session is one of my all time favorites) and their day could not have been more beautiful! So happy to have met and worked with this gorgeous couple. Congrats Lauren & Jordan! xo

What a gorgeous day! Sabrina & David are just THE sweetest couple <3 Their West Loop engagement session is one of my all time favorites and I was so looking forward to their wedding day. What an honor to get to know these two and be a small part of their celebration. Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Gagliano!
